A road closure on US-61 at 250th Street in Wyoming is impacting traffic heading north to Wyoming and the Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming.
The road project began Monday and will continue for one month. The road construction will result in a detours will direct north and south bound motorists to I-35.
In regard to travelers heading to Fairview Lakes Medical Center from the south, patients and visitors are advised to take I-35 north to Wyoming Exit 135. Turn right and drive east on East Viking Blvd. to US-61 and continue south on US 61-to Fairview Blvd. Southbound access to the hospital is unchanged.
Signs have been posted along US-61 alerting drivers that the highway is closed south of the medical center at 250th St. in Wyoming.
Travelers heading north on US-61 are also advised that the driveway and grounds of Maranatha Church, located just south of 250th Street, is not to be used as a shortcut to drive east around the construction zone.
