800 run, walk 1st Stomp Out Suicide 5K

An estimated 800 runners and walkers turned out at Goodview Park in Wyoming on Saturday morning for the first Alissa M. Haines Stomp Out Suicide 5K Run/Walk.

The race T-shirts were flying off the tables as some 200 people turned out to register for the event.

The event was organized by the Haines family of Wyoming who lost their daughter, Alissa, to suicide last December.

The event raised more than $32,000 to help promote suicide awareness programs.
