U.S. Senate candidate Bills also to appear at annual event
Congressman Chip Cravaack of Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District will headline the sixth-annual Reagan Day Dinner put on by the Chisago County Republicans next Friday, Sept. 28.
The event will start with appetizers and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m. at Maranatha Church, located at 24799 Forest Blvd. in Forest Lake. A dinner will follow at 6:45 and the program begins at 7:30.
Cravaack, the keynote speaker, will be joined by Kurt Bills, a state representative who is running for U.S. Senate. Guest speaker Peter Vodenka will speak to his experiences living in the former Soviet Union before defecting in 1983. His message fits the night’s theme, ‘From Tyranny to Liberty, it’s Worth the Fight!’
