A chance to spend four weeks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is offered by the Rotary International Group Study Exchange program.
Past participants have called this program a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and life-changing learning experience.
Four non-Rotary members will be chosen to accompany a Rotarian team leader to visit Rotary District 2240 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from May 4 to June 1 of 2013.
Group Study Exchange furthers international understanding by providing an opportunity to study another country, its culture and institutions.
The focus of the Czech Republic/Slovakia exchange will be public policy, public health and economic development.
Team members stay in the homes of Rotarians, if possible, and follow an itinerary of educational and cultural points of interest.
Travel and living expenses during the exchange are covered by The Rotary Foundation, Rotarians and Rotary District 5960.
If you are between 25 and 45 and have been employed in a recognized business or profession full-time for the past two years, you may be eligible.
To be considered, you must get written permission from your employer before the interview.
Candidates must live or work within the limits of Rotary District 5960 and its clubs, cannot be spouses or lineal descendants of current Rotary members, and must be U.S. citizens.
