Ranger senior caption Dan Mollett clears the ball on defense against Cretin-Derham Hall’s offensive attack last Thursday. Mollett’s efforts weren’t enough to keep the Raiders out of the net though, as the Rangers fell 1-0 in the home game. The close match came two days after Woodbury plowed the Rangers in a tough 8-1 loss on the road. Forest Lake also lost 1-0 to Blaine last Saturday before coming home to face No. 4-ranked (Class 2A) Stillwater. The Rangers travel to Roseville Thursday, Sept. 27, for a 5 p.m. game.
