Chester C. Atkinson
Chester Charles Atkinson, 55, Sandstone and formerly of Levelland, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Fairview University in Minneapolis.
Chester can be remembered as a gentleman who enjoyed his family and worked as a manufacturing engineer.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29 at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service. A family interment will be held in Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake, at a later time.
Chester is survived by his wife, Cheryle; his children, Dena (Jason) Ward, Lena (Shaun) Babcock, Dustin Atkinson, Vonnie Gallaher, Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth (Daniel) Guida-Natzke, and Julia (Curtis) Ruck; grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Kaden, Destiny, Makayla, Kaela, Ian, Caitlyn, Courtney, Collin, Caleb, Cameron, and Amera; sister, Linda (Martin Jordan) Baxter; brother, Jerry (Annie) Williams; many other relatives and friends.
Chester was preceded in death by his father, Bill Atkinson; mother, Marie Williams; and his brother, Billy Atkinson.
