Ariola Erenberg benefit Oct. 20

A new organization founded in memory of a local boy who passed away this summer will kick off its awareness campaign with an event on Saturday, Oct. 20. Swim Above Water will hold a benefit from 2-6 p.m. for Jack Ariola Erenberg, the 9-year-old from Wyoming who died after contracting an amoeba while swimming in Lily Lake in Stillwater.

The event, being held at The Dive Bar in Maplewood, will feature live music, a silent auction, raffle, magic shows, and a play zone for children. Special guests will include former Minnesota Wild hockey player Wes Walz and Wild mascot, Nordy.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10, $3 for children. Proceeds will go to Jack’s parents and to the new organization. For more information on the event or the organization, contact Melissa Gabriel or Brad Olson at swimabovewater@yahoo.com.
