Wyoming teacher receives school supplies

Wyoming principal Mike Conway, kindergarten teacher Jaci Wright and her students watched while Office Max employees showed her the classroom supplies she had won.

Jaci Wright, a kindergarten teacher at Wyoming Elementary, was surprised Tuesday when the Forest Lake Office Max presented her classroom with a new teacher’s chair, school supplies and a gift card.

This is the sixth year of Office Max’s “A Day Made Better” event aimed at erasing teacher-funded classrooms. Working with AdoptAClassroom.org, OfficeMax created this annual one-day event that awards more than 1,000 teachers with over $1,000 in school supplies.

“Jaci values the whole child and uses her knowledge of the whole child to educate them,” a Wyoming Elementary staff member wrote about the kindergarten teacher.

Office Max employees Angela Stein, Dan Brodtmann and Kristyne Boettcher made the presentation.
