Veronika C. Young
Veronika “Florence” Young (nee Pitala), 91, formerly of northeast Minneapolis, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012. She was a WWII veteran and 30-year employee of the VA Hospital.
A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 at Margaret S. Parmly Chapel, 28210 Old Towne Road, Chisago City.
Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
She is survived by her brother, Edward (Patricia) Pitala; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and nephews; great grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Ella; sister, Lucille Dady; and brother, Stanley Pitala, Jr.
