Associated Eye Care will end 32-year run in FL
New clinic opening in Hugo Nov. 5
Associated Eye Care, a 32-year tenant at the Lake Shoppes in Forest Lake, announced this week it plans to close its Forest Lake facility and relocate the business to a new and larger clinic in Hugo.
The clinic will no longer see patients in Forest Lake after Oct. 31.
The move is intended to provide more client convenience and allow the clinic to expand its patient services and offerings. Staff expansion is also planned for the new facility located at the north end of the Victor Gardens Professional Building, next to Wagner’s Garden Center at the intersection of Frenchman Road N. (CR-8) and Everton Avenue N.
The clinic announced the move in letters mailed to patients this week. The Forest Lake clinic dates to 1980 when it became the second office for Associated Eye Care. The clinic’s history dates to the late 1960 at an eye clinic in St. Paul. Associated Eye Care formed in 1972 in Stillwater and is marking its 40th anniversary in 2012.
In addition to its Stillwater and Forest Lake offices, Associated Eye Care has clinics in Woodbury, St. Paul and New Richmond, Wis. The new Hugo clinic, which will begin seeing patients on Monday, Nov. 5, is at 14688 Everton Ave. N., Suite 106.
The new Hugo clinic will boast a more comfortable and relaxed environment for patient eye care needs. Patients can also expect extended clinic hours and expanded services such as LASIK evaluation and contact lens examinations, the clinic said in its letter to patients.
The new clinic has additional space for advanced diagnostic technologies to better assess patient visual needs.
An expanded optical shop will also be provided. Patients will be offered a larger selection of frames and sunglasses in the spacious optical shop to assist in completing their eye exam.
The clinic will also expand its doctor coverage to help address patient needs.
Moving to Hugo from Forest Lake will be: David Park, M.D.; Alan Downie, M.D.; Ann Hickson, O.D.; and Anna Williamschen, O.D. New to the staff will be Stephen Lane, M.D., and a new member of the clinic’s pediatric team, Keri Nebelsick, O.D.
“We look forward to being of continued service to you and we hope you will enjoy all the benefits that Associated Eye Care has to offer at our new Hugo clinic location,” the clinic said in its letter to patients.
