Ranger cross country girls take third at SEC

The Forest Lake cross country girls secured third place behind East Ridge and Roseville at the Suburban East Conference Meet on Tuesday afternoon.

Eighth-grader Allison Bartlett clinched fifth place in the 4K with a time of 14:36, followed by ninth-grader Emma Benner  at 14:48.

Seventh-grader Caroline Schoessow came in at 24th for the Rangers with a time of 15:22 with eighth-grader Maria Valentin finishing two spots later at 15:27.

Eighth-grader Isabel Leininger came in 11 seconds later at 29th while while fellow eighth-grader Miranda Overland returned from a foot injury to place 33rd at the SEC meet.

Forest Lake finished the meet with an average time of 15:11 and a 1:02 spread between runners at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Stacy.

Next, the Rangers travel to the Minneapolis Invite on Monday, Oct. 22, for a 4 p.m. race.
