Hosanna hosts grief support sessions
Have you experienced the death of a loved one? Divorce or separation? If you have been through these ordeals or the aftermath of a suicide, loss of job, home, or health — or if a loved one is needing your support — consider attending the grief support sessions at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake.
The series runs Monday nights through Nov. 19. Each session is independent; it is not necessary to sign up for the entire series.
The Growing Through Loss grief support sessions begin with registration at 6:45 p.m. A large group presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Small groups interact from 8 to 9 p.m.
On Oct. 22 Pastor Matthew Goers will be the speaker. His presentation is called, “My running mate finished the race first; how can I run on?”
On Oct. 29 Denise Dietz will speak on “How to cope with sudden loss.”
Dan and Debbie Flohr will speak on Nov. 5. Their topic is “Serving our country in another land away from family.”
On Nov. 12 the subject will be “Compassionate friends.”
Speaker Linda Lehmann will focus on “Soothing holiday heartaches” at the Nov. 19 session.
The series is offered by the Lakes Area Grief Support Coalition. Hosanna Lutheran Church is located at 9300 Scandia Trail N. (TH-97).
