Ranger volleyball sweeps past first round

Forest Lake swept Duluth Denfeld by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 in Wednesday night’s Section 7AAA opener. The Rangers, seeded sixth, proved too much for the visiting Hunters, the 11th seed in the 12-team section. Forest Lake advances to face third-seeded St. Francis on the road at 7 p.m. on Friday.
