Zavoral Mine permit applications complete; review process begins
After reviewing the Tiller Corporation applications for a conditional use permit and annual operating permit for the Zavoral Mine, Scandia City Planner Sherri Buss has concluded that the information submitted is complete.
A public hearing will be part of the Dec. 4 meeting when the planning commission meeting reviews the application. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the community center, 14727 209th St. N.
The city council has until Feb. 20 to make a determination on the application.
Copies of the permit applications are on the city’s website, www.ci.scandia.mn.us, under Zavoral Property Mining and Reclamation Project.
