With half reporting, Hegberg holds small lead
The race for Washington County Commissioner in District 1 is shaping up to be as close as expected. Longtime commissioner Dennis Hegberg leads Hugo Mayor Fran Miron 5,333 to 5,217 with eight of 16 precincts reporting, but none of Hugo’s numbers have come in yet. Hegberg carried Forest Lake in Precincts 1 and 2 but lost by 32 votes in Precinct 4. Miron won Scandia by over 300 votes.
