Named nation’s leading mid-sized city for military support
The City of Hugo’s Yellow Ribbon Network has helped that community be named the nation’s leading mid-sized city in support of military members and their families.
The significant distinction comes from the Washington DC-based organization Homeward Deployed. Gretchen Martens, the founder and CEO of Homeward Deployed, will present the award on Friday, Dec. 14 at Hugo city hall. A social hour and refreshments starts at 4 p.m. with the ceremony following at 5 p.m.
Minnesota National Guard Adjutant Major General Rick Nash will attend as well as Brig. Gen. Neal Loidolt. Volunteers, donors, and business sponsors of the Yellow Ribbon Network are invited to attend as well as interested members of the public.
