The second annual Hot Reads for Cold Nights program at the Wyoming Area Library will take place from Jan. 15 to Mar. 5. All adults, 18 and older, are invited to participate in this winter reading series.
Each participant writes a short book review and places it in a box for a weekly drawing. Prizes include coffee mugs, small memo books (for tracking the books read) and a Hot Reads for Cold Nights sling bag.
Names will be drawn each Wednesday from reviews turned in the previous week.
Library patrons are encouraged to try a new author and new genres. If you normally grab a mystery, try a non-fiction book that reports the events around an actual murder case. If you like romances, try historical fiction.
Curl up with a good book and stay toasty warm. As Branch Librarian Rebecca Hostetler reminds you, your library card is the only free card in your wallet.
The Giese Memorial Library is located at 26855 Forest Blvd. in Wyoming.
