LAYSB seeks nominations for annual awards

Do you know an adult who is a great role model, or a young person who is making a difference in the community?

How about a law enforcement officer who has made a special effort to help kids?

If you do, the Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau wants to hear from you.

Awards are given annually for service in the following categories:

The On Behalf of Youth Award honors individuals who demonstrate a passion for the well-being of children and teens.  This award will be given to one adult and one youth.

The James Trudeau Award honors a licensed law enforcement officer for service or activities related to youth above and beyond their normal duties.  Awards are given for service during 2012.

The deadline to submit is Friday, Mar. 15.  Nominations may be made by any local business owner, any area civic or service group, or any area resident who is not a family member of the nominee.

A connection to LAYSB is preferred but not necessary. Nomination letters and forms are available at www.ysblakesarea.org.

If you have questions, contact Development Coordinator Jackie Kottke at 651-464-3685 or jackie.kottke@ysblakesarea.org.
