Wildlife center sets Feb. 16 event

The Wildlife Science Center will host its Winter Festival 2013 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.  Discover the world of the dog sledder during a day of winter fun. Meet mushers and their dog teams, along with the center’s resident wolf packs. Vendors and local experts will demonstrate equipment and techniques. Dog sled rides will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $5 per person. Local outdoors writer Scott Miller will be on hand to sign copies of his book, Signs of Winning.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Leashed dogs are welcome. The center is located at 5463 West Broadway Ave. in Columbus.
