FL gymnasts prepare for sections

Rangers beat Woodbury, finish regular season at 6-3 in SEC

The Forest Lake gymnastics team earned a 134.600-132.650 win at Woodbury to end its regular season last Thursday.

Senior Jessica Dhaene earned another first-place finish in the all-around with 35.650 points while sophomore Lyndsey Anderson placed third with 33.435.

Dhaene and Anderson took second and third on the vault with scores of 9.250 and 9.125, respectively. Junior Katie Dison earned a tie for fifth with 8.400.

The duo again placed well on the bars, with Dhaene taking first (8.900), followed by Anderson in third (8.450). Eighth-grader Lilly Foss took fourth (8.350) while Dison followed in fifth (7.925).

Dison took second on the beam with a score of 8.175 with Dhaene following in third with an 8.150.

On floor, Dhaene took first with 9.350 points, followed by Dison in third with a score of 8.725. Anderson placed fifth with an 8.500 score.

The Rangers closed their regular season with a conference record of 6-3 and travel to Cambridge-Isanti on Friday for the section tournament at 5 p.m.
