Times adopts new obituary rate structure
A new rate structure for obituaries will go into effect starting with next week’s Feb. 21 edition.
Obituaries will cost $80 for the first 200 words. Each additional word will cost 50 cents. For example, a 250-word obituary will cost $105 and a 300-word obituary will cost $130. A picture can be added to any obituary for an additional $20.
The revised rates represent a reduction from the current ones.
Death notices, run to the newspaper’s standard form, will continue to cost $30. It will continue to cost an additional $30 to run a picture with a death notice.
Funeral homes can submit obituaries and death notices to the Forest Lake Times by e-mailing clint.riese@ecm-inc.com. Individuals can do likewise or use the online form at www.forestlaketimes.com.
