“Get Hired” prepares teens for job search

To all high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in finding part-time work: Don’t miss the “Get Hired” event.

This information session will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at the Central Learning Center, 200 SW 4th St. in Forest Lake.

Here’s what you will learn:

  • What goes into job searching
  • Where to look for job openings
  • How to do company research
  • Interviewing for a job
  • Understanding dress codes and body language
  • How to keep a job

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk to local employers about what they look for in young employees.
