MnDOT plans two local projects

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has projects planned on two local highways this summer, but both will involve only minor disturbances to traffic. MnDOT will install a cable median on Interstate 35 from U.S. 8 in Forest Lake to County Road 10 in Harris. The safety project will cost $4 million. Work will be done from August into October and involve off-peak lane closures. MnDOT also will improve signage along Highway 95 from County Road 52 in Scandia to U.S. 8 in Franconia Township. Work will be completed in August and September, cost $100,000 and involve short-term lane restrictions.
