Local lake-watcher Corbett Johnson reports that as of this morning, Friday, May 3 some ice remains on Forest Lake.

Johnson reports ice remains on 5-15 acres of the south shore of Second Lake.

By his records, that makes this spring the longest that ice has remained on Forest Lake. The previous record was May 2, set in 1965.
