The final show of the comedy season at Running Aces Harness Park features four funny women from Minnesota.
Darlene Westgor, Rox Tarrant, Wendy Maybury and Sherlonda Sharp will entertain guests for one show only, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at Running Aces, 15201 Zurich Street in Columbus.
Rox Tarrant, a native of Alexandria, is a Twin Cities comedian and comedy producer. She has appeared with Diane Ford at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino in the Bahamas and counts as her mentor Minnesota-born comedian Louie Anderson.
Wendy Maybury placed second in the Twin Cities Funniest Person with a Day Job contest in 2011 and was voted by her peers as “Favorite New Comic & Favorite Female Comic.”
Sherlonda Sharp has been entertaining people since high school study hall. She made her comedy club debut in 2010 and is known for her unique style.
Closing the show will be Darlene Westgor, who was voted Nick@Nite’s Funniest Mom in America. She gets laughs talking about garage sales, neighbors, homework, lawn care and Little League baseball.
