Thirteen years after starting kindergarten–or, to their parents, a quick wink of an eye–this year’s graduating seniors will soon end their high school days.
Graduation week at Forest Lake High School begins with Academic Awards Night at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 3, in the high school auditorium.
The last day of high school for seniors, with final testing, will be Wednesday, June 5.
Commencement is at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, held outdoors at the football stadium if the weather is good, or in the gym if not.
Immediately after commencement ceremonies, about two-thirds of the graduating class will head to Southwest Junior High for the 32nd annual all-night senior class party. Features this year include henna tattoos, hairdos and a hypnotist. Many parents volunteer to provide this safe, fun, chemical-free event. Students pay $40, or $50 at the door.
