In just its fourth year as a program, the Forest Lake girls lacrosse team completed its regular season with a winning record of 7-5 by going 2-1 this past week.
Although the Rangers lost a tough one to No. 4 Stillwater, 21-7, last Wednesday, the girls bounced back to shut down Columbia Heights 18-4 on Friday, then defeat White Bear Lake on Monday, 11-6.
In the win over the Bears earlier this week, the Rangers were led in scoring by senior Amy Enrooth with three goals. Ninth-grader Radian Lenz and senior Emily Riermann each recorded two goals, while senior Jade Haseltine earned one goal and three assists.
Junior Emma Matthiesen assisted twice and also scored one goal. Junior Becca Neumann and senior Lexi Carpenter each added a goal as well, with Neumann assisting once.
Leading the Rangers in regular-season scoring this year is Haseltine with 27 goals, followed by Enrooth with 25 and Carpenter with 20 goals. Enrooth is also a leader in assists with 13 on the year, followed by Matthiesen with eight.
The Section 4 tournament begins on Tuesday, May 28. Seedings have not yet been determined.
