Storm splashes Forest Lake

It didn’t last long, but it made its mark. A sudden downpour Tuesday morning created flash-flood-like conditions in low areas of Forest Lake, including the stretch of 12th Street SW just south of Broadway Avenue. This car created quite the splash on that stretch around 9 a.m. Fire Chief Gary Sigfrinius said any flooding was minimal and no damage was reported. "You really, really have to have a deluge in this town to have a flood," he said. "It drains very quickly."
