Extended run for museum

High demand will keep the Forest Lake Historical Society’s museum open until Sunday. (Photo by Mary Bailey)

With great attendance and positive feedback from the public, the Forest Lake Area Historical Society has decided to keep its temporary museum open for one more week. The Forest Lake Area Schools 1860-1984 exhibit will remain open from noon to 4 p.m. at 79 S. Lake St. through Sunday, Aug. 4. Admission is free.
View the rare 1860 land deed document from the Banta family, Doris Norquist’s collection from the 1920s-30s, Karen Alm’s collection of rare postcards that depict Forest Lake Schools, all of the yearbooks from 1936-1984,  a circa 1920s classroom, Don Degendorfer’s baseball collection and items from all the local schools.
