For the 20th annual Forest Lake Relay For Life, the goal was to raise $120,000. Instead, the 21 teams, totaling 212 participants, raised $137,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Three teams have participated in all 20 Relay For Life events held in Forest Lake. Donna Mathias has been a registered team member at all 20 Relays.

Also recognized for outstanding service was Cathy Osterbauer, who organized two survivor walks before the first Forest Lake Relay for Life, and then was instrumental in getting Relay started here.
