Loren H. Johnson, 67, of Mesa, Ariz. and formerly of Edina, passed away on July 23, 2013 in Mesa.
Loren was born to Harold R. and Geneva Johnson on March 11, 1946.
He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1964 and enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force for 4.5 years in Germany and Vietnam. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Mankato State University and married Betty Arneman on June 30, 1972.
He worked as a police officer and parole officer in Omaha and Scottsbluff, Neb. He worked in Fairbault as a senior probation officer for juveniles at Rice County for 28 years. In 2008 he retired and they moved to Mesa.
Loren is survived by his wife, Betty M. Johnson; siblings, Janice (Paul) Lindbloom, Dennis C. (Lou Ella) Johnson, Wayne E. (Mary) Johnson, Karin (David) Small; sisters-in-law, Faith (Dale) White, Erna (Dale) Krueger, Joan (Dennis) Anderson, Karen Arneman; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Julie Ann Johnson; brother-in-law, William F. Arneman.
