COMFORT LAKE-FOREST LAKE WATERSHED
DISTRICT NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING CLFLWD-CITY OF
FOREST LAKE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE That the Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District Board of Managers has scheduled a public hearing to take public comment on the CLFLWD-City of Forest Lake Capital Improvement Project on Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Forest Lake City Hall Council Chambers, 220 North Lake Street, Forest Lake, MN. The project plans may be reviewed at the District Office at 220 North Lake Street, Forest Lake MN. Please contact the District Office at 651-209-9753 with any questions.
The Project will consist of stormwater quality improvement retrofits and will incorporate an iron-enhanced sand filter into an existing stormwater-treatment feature on Hilo Lane North, stabilize and improve upstream channels that convey stormwater runoff to the existing feature, and stabilize the lake shoreline where the existing stormwater-treatment feature outlets, all in an effort to reduce pollutant loading to Forest Lake. The estimated cost of the project is $137,571. The project will be funded by a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agencys Clean Water Partnership Program, the City of Forest Lake, and the annual CLFLWD tax levy on real property in Washington and Chisago Counties that lies within the CLFLWD boundary.
