Mission trip participants to lead Rally Sunday worship at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake

To kick off another year of Christian education, Rally Sunday services on Sept. 15 at Faith Lutheran Church will focus on Sunday School children and teachers.

Families can register their children using forms available in the Christian Education wing or online at faithfl.org.  For more information contact Amelia Matheson, children’s ministry director, at AmeliaM@faithfl.org.

The 9 and 10:30 a.m. services will be led by the 47 youth and adults who traveled on summer mission trips to Mingo County, W.Va. and Yankton, SD. The youth will share with the congregation their experiences, music and what they learned.

The year has already begun for confirmation students in grades 7 to 9. A potluck and information gathering was held Wednesday for students, parents and guides to preview the year.

Confirmation students meet Wednesdays for dinner, worship and discussions.

Parents looking for a faith-based, servant-focused Christian education leading to confirmation should contact youth ministry director Kyrstin Schwartz.

“A solid Christian education is one of the markers that make for involved, responsible and connected young people in society today,” said Schwartz.

Faith Church is located at 886 N Shore Dr. in Forest Lake.
