Faith members Mary Gustafson and Carol Baumgartner invite theater lovers to the Minnesota premiere of the comedy “Ole’s Dead, Lena’s Dating.”

“Ole’s Dead, Lena’s Dating” will have its Minnesota premiere at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake. The new play by Wisconsinite Elly Mason Johnson chronicles the efforts to get the widow Lena into the dating pool by her best friend Sigurd.

Ole’s unexpected and interesting demise sets the stage for this warm, poignant and funny comedy of a “Lutheran lady of a certain age” being set up by her best friend.

The play will be performed in the Faith Lutheran Faith Life Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday,  Oct. 26. During intermission a secret-recipe dessert, known as a surefire way to a man’s stomach and heart, will be served.

Audience members will also have a chance to win a quilt made by Joy Johnson of Wyoming. Tickets are available at the church, 651-464-3323, or The Yellow Bus, 651-464-2112.

Faith Lutheran Church is located at 886 North Shore Drive.
