The Rangers extended their winning streak to four and boosted their Suburban East Conference record to 5-3 last week by defeating Park and Hastings.
The Forest Lake volleyball team traveled to Park in Cottage Grove Tuesday, Oct. 8, and took down the Wolfpack in four sets, serving 95 percent as a team. Senior Lauren Riedeman led the serving attack at 29-30 with six aces and 14 digs.
Senior Caitlin Freer led the offense with 10 kills, followed by senior Abby Furry with seven kills. Ninth-grader Tia Moscatelli added six kills and four blocks, while seniors Mariah Daninger and Chelsie Bethke recorded five kills apiece, with Bethke adding 16 sets assists.
Senior Kenzie VanBuskirk put up 18 set assists while junior Emily Lindstrom added 18 digs and four aces and senior Bree Raabe earned 16 digs.
In the sweep of Hastings at home on Thursday night, middles Daninger and Moscatelli paved the way with 10 kills each. Moscatelli also had four blocks in the effort.
Freer, who has started at both middle and outside this season, added another seven kills while VanBuskirk and Bethke recorded 19 and 18 assists, respectively. Raabe earned 17 digs, while Furry had 12.
Forest Lake faced Roseville on Tuesday night on the road. The Raiders are currently second in the SEC with a conference record of 7-1 and overall record of 13-9.
The Rangers sit fourth in Section 7AAA standings with an overall record of 12-9. Next, they travel to Rochester Century for a 16-team tournament, starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
