The Forest Lake cross-country boys competed at a 20-team invitational in Shakopee Tuesday, Oct. 8, placing fifth with 166 points.
Shakopee won its invite with 81 points, followed by Rogers (103), River Falls (113) and Buffalo (116). The Rangers had the second-best spread in the top-10 teams at 1:08.2.
Junior Leo Hipp led the way for Forest Lake in 15th place of 184 runners with a time of 17:35, followed by junior Chris Delgado in 20th (17:40).
Junior Quinn Duffy came in at 27th in 17:45, while junior Riley Schilling took 47th in 18:16.
Sophomore Davis Long rounded out the scoring in 18:43, good for 57th place.
The Rangers traveled to the Falcon Ridge Golf Course on Tuesday for the Suburban East Conference Meet and next will race at sections in Cloquet on Thursday, Oct. 24.
