Update: FL football and volleyball seedings

The Forest Lake volleyball team earned the fourth seed heading into Section 7AAA post-season play.

With a top-four seed, the Rangers have a bye in the first round and will host its first section game on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Forest Lake will face the winner of a first-round match up between fifth-seeded Anoka (11-16) and the 12th seed, Duluth Denfeld (6-19).

Forest Lake’s record is 14-12. They beat the Hunters earlier this fall, but fell 3-1 to the Tornadoes in the second game of the season.

Cambridge-Isanti earned the top seed in the section, followed by Grand Rapids and North Branch.


Ranger football

The Forest Lake Ranger football team earned the eighth seed in Section 4AAAAAA with a record of 0-8 this fall.

The Rangers face top-seeded East Ridge at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.

Forest Lake fell to the Raptors earlier this season on homecoming night, 42-0.
