Seven-year-old makes quilt for a cause

Brianna Johnson, a second-grader at Scandia Elementary, learned to sew at Kim Lundstrom’s licensed home daycare in Marine on St. Croix. Brianna pieced together this quilt top, which will be finished by the Memorial Quilters guild as a Comfort Quilt. This program gives quilts to storm and fire victims, dialysis patients, nursing and veterans home residents, shelters and babies at risk. “I thought it was a great job done,” Lundstrom said.
