Scott Novotny to appear at Thanksgiving comedy show

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, Running Aces Comedy Club will star Scott Novotny.

The Rochester native has worked at the Brave New Workshop as an improvisational actor and writer.

He also owned and operated The Comedy Cabaret, Minnesota’s first full-time comedy theatre.

He has written for Saturday Night Live and the Strange Brew comic strip. He appeared on MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour, A&E Comedy on the Road, Comedy Central’s Short Attention Span Theater and America’s Funniest People.

The show will also feature Susie Saccoman. An elementary school teacher for the Minneapolis school district for 17 years, she is a winner of the Twin Cities Funniest Person Contest.

Saccoman recently performed for 6,000 Minneapolis Public Schools teachers to launch the 2013-2014 school year.

The show will be hosted by Jeff Pfoser, a Minneapolis comic who performed in the Akumal Comedy Festival.

The show begins at 7:30 on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Running Aces Harness Park, 15201 Zurich Street in Columbus.

Tickets are $15 plus taxes and fees and can be purchased at www.runningacesharness.com. Parties of eight or more should call 651-925-4600.
