Washington County Library has agreed to be a distribution site for World Book Night.
World Book Night U.S., a non-profit organization, has launched its third annual campaign to encourage reading and giving. On April 23, a half million free paperbacks (38 titles) will be handed out to light or non-readers across America. The list of the titles that will be given away was printed in last week’s edition of the Forest Lake Times.
Until Jan. 5, book lovers can volunteer to deliver 20 copies of the specially printed books at www.us.worldbooknight.org.
Books will be available for volunteers to pick up at any Washington County Library branch, including Hardwood Creek in Forest Lake. For more information, call 651-731-1320.
Giese Memorial Library in Wyoming is also a pickup site.
