Polar expolorer Ann Bancroft has joined the board of directors of the Wildlife Science Center. Bancroft is the first and only woman to cross the ice to both poles. The Ann Bancroft Foundation, founded in 1991, works to create a world where all girls can live their dreams and reach their full potential. The nonprofit Wildlife Science Center, located on West Broadway Avenue in Columbus, is the world’s foremost wolf conservation center and home to some of Minnesota’s most threatened species. The center teaches about North American carnivores and birds of prey and the critical roles they play in the ecosystem.
