Dog sledding, skijoring

Meet mushers and their teams, learn about cross country skiing with a dog and see resident wolf packs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 2 at the Wildlife Science Center, 5463 W. Broadway Ave. Bring your leashed dog along. $6 for kids; $8 for adults. From 11:30 to 3:30, ride a dog sled for $5 more.


MnSure Navigators

Free nutrition class

Birds and Winter Crafts

Bluebird workshop

Firearms safety class

Call 651-433-2274 to register for a firearms safety/hunter series for ages 11 and up to be held at the Scandia Community Center. Both student and a parent must attend at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. The class series is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on March 24, 25, 27, 31 and April 1, 3, 7 and 8, with field and range day from 8:30 to noon on Saturday, April 12. $7.50 for materials plus $7.50 for certificate.
