Police seek tips following incident in library parking lot

Forest Lake police have issued a public safety alert following an incident in the Hardwood Creek Library parking lot Monday evening.

An adult female was approached by a male in a vehicle at 7:20 p.m. and offered $20 for sexual favors. When the woman denied him and walked away, the male exited his vehicle and grabbed her arm and breast. The woman sprayed a chemical agent at him and fled in her car.

The male left in an unknown direction. He was described to be in his 60s or 70s, heavy-set with a “pot belly” and large nose. The man was wearing glasses, has brown eyes and is balding with gray hair. He was wearing a gray and blue flannel shirt.

The vehicle is described as being from the 1990s, possibly a Buick, with black pinstripes running the length of the car that are either fading or coming off of the driver’s door.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Forest Lake Police Tipline at 651-209-9911.
