Easter egg hunt and breakfast

An all-you-can-eat Easter bunny pancake breakfast for all ages, with egg hunt for ages 10 and under, will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail. Ranger Review

Because school was canceled April 4, the ISD 831 staff variety show will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at the high school auditorium. $5 tickets support preschool scholarships. Call 651-982-8110.

Egg hunt

Find eggs, visit the bunny and create spring crafts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 at Lakeside Park (or the FLHS field house in bad weather). Sponsored by the city of Forest Lake and ISD 831 Community Education.

Relay for Life
kick-off event

Forest Lake’s Relay for Life cancer fund-raiser will begin with a kick-off at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 14 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 SE 11th St. Teams will be created to prepare for the August 1 event. Call 651-433-5150.

Military child video

Children of military families are invited to film a story from 11 a.m. to noon or from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 at the Hardwood Creek Library, 19955 Forest Rd. Librarians will record a video of the child reading a story or poem and upload it to YouTube so it can be accessed by a parent anywhere in the world. Call 651-275-7300.

Scholarship funding

April 15 is the deadline for the The Forest Lake Area Community Scholarship Foundation retail checkout event to fund $1,000 scholarships for ISD 831 graduating seniors. Shoppers add $1 at checkout and write their name on a placard posted at Big Apple Bagels, Central Bank, Culver’s, Carousel Hair Salon, Domino’s Pizza, Fantastic Sam’s, First State Bank of Wyoming, Forest Lake Dry Cleaners, Joy Garden, Keys Café, Kodiak Coffee, Ma and Paw’s Pet Grooming, Norman Quack’s, Papa Murphy’s, PT Nails or Star & Strikes. This year’s goal is $150,000 in scholarships.

Passion play
