FLHS spring play
“The Laramie Project,” based on interviews following the murder of a gay student in Laramie, Wyo., will be performed at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1-3, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 at the high school. $6 adults, $4 students/seniors.
NLA spring play
Seats for the North Lakes Academy spring play on Friday, May 16, can be purchased from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday at the upper school, 308 SW 15th St.
Day of Prayer
Forest Lake will observe National Day of Prayer from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at American Legion Post 225, 355 Broadway Ave. Prayers will be offered for the community with color guard, music, refreshments. Call 651-464-7480.

Shoreline planting workshop
The Washington Conservation District will show how homeowners can beautifully landscape shorelines for clean water and healthy habitat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at Vannelli’s, 55 S. Ag open house
The FLHS agriculture department hold its annual open house and plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 9, at the high school, 6101 Scandia Trail. Student exhibits and demonstrations will showcase agriculture courses and careers, with agencies, businesses and colleges also on hand. Plant sales will benefit youth leadership programs. High school concert
The concert choir, concert band and string orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 12 in the FLHS auditorium, 6101 Scandia Trail.
All 100 sixth-grade orchestra students in the Forest Lake school district will perform at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 in the FLHS Auditorium, 6101 Scandia Trail.
