A Scandia man appeared in Washington County District Court April 7 on two felony drug charges.
Stephan William Krongard, 29, faces a second-degree charge of possessing 6 or more grams of methamphetamine and a fifth-degree charge of drug possession.
According to the criminal complaint, Krongard was taken into custody April 4 when a Washington County Sheriff’s Office detective assisted Washington County Probation with a probation warrant for Krongard. He was on probation for a fifth-degree controlled substance conviction from 2013.
The complaint states that two bags of a white, crystal-like substance were found under a pillow at the defendant’s residence in the 14200 block of 202nd Street North in Scandia. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine in a preliminary, on-site test. A third bag was discovered and its contents tested positive for cocaine. Drug paraphernalia and a scale were also discovered.
Krongard was due in court April 30.
