A Minneapolis film crew visited southern Columbus last month to record footage for an upcoming episode of “America Unearthed,” which has aired for two seasons on “H2,” a History Channel network.

Show host Scott Wolter, of St. Paul, incorporates science and intuitive theory in following viewers’ leads for stories that have taken the cameras throughout the United States.

Details for the episode to include footage from Columbus will be released closer to the scheduled air date, likely in late 2014.

Production company Committee Films, Inc. received permission for the shoot with approval from the Columbus City Council June 11.
