When I think of summertime in Forest Lake I think of three things: the Fourth of July celebration, boating on the lake, and Masquers Theater productions.
I would personally like to thank the community theater company for continuing to bring theater to our community every summer.
This past Thursday I had the opportunity to attend opening night of Masquers’ production of “Footloose,” and I was instantly transported back 30 years to Kenny Loggins’ pop hit. The pit band and the performers did a great job bringing this Tony-nominated score to life. It was inspiring to see so many of our lake-area performers sharing their love for the arts.
I hope you make it a point to schedule a performance of “Footloose” into one of your July weekends. Please continue to support Masquers the way they have supported our community for so many years.
