Ben McMahon earns rank of Eagle

EAGLE SCOUT AWARD was presented to
Ben McMahon of Columbus, McMahon has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of
America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award.
McMahon was recognized in ceremony on November 8, 2014 at the Crossroads Community Center.
A member of Columbus Boy Scout Troop 9414, McMahon is one of approximately 4 percent
of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank.
Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community or church-related service project to earn his Eagle; McMahon chose to update and landscape the entrance of Century Junior High in Forest Lake.
He has served as Assistant Patrol Leader and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
McMahon is active in band at Forest Lake Senior High School, where he is a Sophomore.
He is the son of Ann and Pat McMahon of Columbus.
