The Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, at 355 W. Broadway Ave. hosts a senior dance from 1 to 4 p.m. on the third Friday of every month. Seniors are invited to enjoy mature music and camaraderie. Self defense for women
The Lakes Area Youth Service Burea will offer free self-defense classes for young women from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Jan. 6, 13, 20, and 27 at the LAYSB office at 244 N Lake St. The basic self-defense program includes educational components comprised of lecture, discussion, and physical resistive strategies. The program is facilitated by Donara Rudman, certified clinical trauma professional and licensed women’s self-defense instructor.
